Thanks for the video and the heroic efforts and sacrifice for us. Dick Guldi from Dallas wrote..”The tar (sands crude) sinks in water, creating a long term source of heavy metals that occur naturally in crude oil. The diluents that thinned it dissolve in water or evaporate into the air. These diluents include benzene (a carcinogen), xylene, pentane, n-hexane, naphatha, and PAH polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Our water treatment facilities have neither the means of removing these diluents nor the capability to detect their presence. Should a major rupture contaminate one reservoir, that reservoir will be useless as a water supply for as long as 30 years. Such an event is not a remote possibility. Using data from Professor John Stansbury of Nebraska University, I estimate that the probability of contaminating one Metroplex lake is 1% each year, or 20% within 20 years. The risk is real. Indeed, three tar sands pipelines ruptured in Alberta in May-June of this year (One of these was an Enbridge pipeline)”.

Thanks Kim for relaying information that is important and relevant. Thanks to all the support people, ground blockaders and especially the tree blockade members. It was inspiring to hear and see your video. I know living in trees under these conditions is a great sacrifice and know some have leave from their jobs, all have put their personal dreams and aspirations on hold. Thank you! Those who can’t join please hit the donate button. If everyone would send $10 dollars even, it would add up. The equipment and supplies are expensive. I know the blockaders themselves have used their own income and savings up. Thanks!

Sharing updates on your progress, the images and videos, and maintaining my constant personal vigil in your support … daily. Will return to be with you next week. http://bit.ly/ObstructEcocide is a small contribution that I hope will supplement your efforts to draw more activists into the woods of Wood County and on up and down the path of destruction.
